Fall season க்கு ஒரு ta ta சொல்லும் காலம் வந்தாச்சு ..."காலங்களில் அவள் வசந்தம்"-னு பாடிய கவிஞர், இலையுதிர்காலத்திற்கு என்ன கற்பனை செய்திருப்பாரோ, I wonder.
Fall brings with it many beautiful shades and sights that almost always catch you by surprise. And, as is true of every thing / situation /time / life, "this too will pass." Soon, all the colours wither and fade preparing the ground for winter.... அட போகட்டும் விடுங்க, let us take things one day at a time? நடிகர் Janakaraj சொல்லுவது போல, இன்றைக்கு "ensoiiii."
Recently, the view outside one of the windows in our apartment showed seven different shades of colour. You would have seen varieties of green, burgundy, orange, brown, mustard and you will have had to count twice to be sure of yourself! See a hand-picked sample, to the left :-)
Strangely? the weather has been friendly this far, permitting walks without the added burden of sweaters or winter gear. So today, on a walk near the lake was one new sight - a crane! Along with some regular Canadian geese. The geese were sailing on the water in some new formation, if you were to ask them.
This crane, or blue necked heron, or what fancy name have you, was standing knee deep in the water and waiting, for the proverbial fish?! "ஓடு மீன் ஓடும் அளவும் உருமீன் வருமளவும் காத்திருக்குமாம் கொக்கு." In photo #2, that tiiiiny angular shape is indeed our waiting crane and those indiscernible specks are the geese. May be they are indiscernible because they are Canadian geese and we are in North Carolina?! 
Also saw the willow that always droops in welcome with one big sweeping movement of all its curtain-like branches, "come on over, and take a closer look at me." Thats all for "standing and staring" today.....toodle 'oo and tinkerty tonk.
